Interrelativity provides integrated hardware and software solutions to help people relate to and connect with others in shared physical spaces, such as this event. One such solution is a proactive display, consisting of a large computer display connected to an radio frequency identification (RFID) reader that can detect RFID tags worn by people nearby, and show content relating to those people on the display.
The content shown by proactive displays is derived from profiles created by event participants who register on our web site. Participants may create, modify or delete profiles – or any information in their profiles – by visiting the web site at any time before, during or after the event.
Participants who create an Interrelativity profile before the event will have an RFID tag associated with their profile inserted into their name tag; on-site registrants who wish to participate must associate their profile with an RFID tag at a special-purpose kiosk at the meeting. These kiosks can also be used to create, modify or delete profiles.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and requires the completion of the following steps:
- Create an Interrelativity profile on our web site.
- Associate your profile with an RFID tag at a special-purpose kiosk and insert it into your name badge sleeve (unless you created a profile before the meeting, in which case this step is done for you).
- Approach a proactive display while wearing your name badge (with an RFID tag) to have the display proactively show the content you provided.
By completing all of these steps, you are consenting to having your profile information shown on proactive displays during the event. You may withdraw your consent and stop participating at any time by deleting your profile, deleting information from your profile or removing the RFID tag from your name badge sleeve.
Information collected by Interrelativity may be used for aggregate data analysis by Interrelativity. No individually identifiable profile information will be disclosed after the meeting without the explicit consent of the individual who provided the information.
